I am Amber Higgins, just a girl voyaging her way through life. My husband and I have had opportunities to travel for work over the past few years. I’m a Travel Nurse, and my husband, Jacob, is a Travel Physical Therapist.  We have brought our cute Lady dog on our adventures, and she definitely lives up to her name. We have lived in a new state (for at least 3 months) for every year of our marriage, and we got hitched in 2018!

During our fun of traveling, I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, and what an experience it has been. I have learned a lot and have had good experiences along with struggles. I am very grateful that, for the most part, I have felt healthy throughout most of it and have been able to continue to work, travel, and enjoy things that fill my cup and enrich my life.

This website is to share the love for exploring the new places we get to work in. Travel nursing has allowed my husband and me to experience several new cities and states. I love sharing tips we have picked up for planning and adventuring, sometimes via trial and error.

I have endured the pain of working out the logistics so you don’t have to. We are always on the hunt for affordable, diverse, and (majority of the time) dog-friendly travel experiences. Travel can be stressful due to unplanned logistics, “don’t even get me started on finding parking”. Traveling has been a way of rejuvenating my husband and me through challenging times in life, and we hope this blog can help provide that for you as well.

I also have a passion for nursing, health, wellness, and overall Healing. Between my career as a Nurse and battling a Cancer diagnosis, I love sharing things that promote a healthy lifestyle. I have been able to learn and implement many things that promote healing the body and the soul. Especially while having a busy schedule and healing on the move. So come along while we heal on the move, from hospital halls to the world’s wonders!
